Gunmen abducts catholic parish priest in Ekiti state

Gunmen stormed the residence of a Catholic priest Emmanuel Akingbade in Ido-Ekiti, Ekiti state and kidnapped him. The gunmen numbering about 3 stormed the priest house who is also the parish priest of the church around 7.30-8 on with guns. The priest who is a lawyer also doubles as the assistant director of the justice development and peace initiative of the church in the diocese.
  The Bishop of the diocese who described the incident as ugly and devastating, said that the commissioner of police in the state Etop John James had been  informed about the development. He added  that they  told the priest that some amount of money had been paid for his life , except he could pay them 20 million naira.
